Mediterranean diet.What is it?

It can be considered as a really life-style, typical of Mediterranean basin’s countries inhabitants. One of its main features is a diet based on bread, pasta, rice, vegetables, fruits, dried fruits, olive oil, moderate amounts of fish, seafood, fowls, dairy products and eggs, little amounts of red meats and reasonable quantities of wine. Many typical foods of Mediterranean Diet, apart from its nutritional properties, stand out for its antioxidant power.

Many studies show that Mediterranean Diet helps to reduce heart diseases and heart attacks or cancer death rate, as well to protect brains activity.
